Rosacea Treatment

Rosacea is a common, long-term inflammatory condition of the face causing redness, broken capillaries and red spots.

Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that primarily affects the face, leading to redness and visible blood vessels. It often appears on the cheeks, nose, chin, and forehead. Over time, this redness can become more persistent, and small, red, pus-filled bumps may develop. In some cases, the skin may thicken, especially on the nose (a condition known as rhinophyma), leading to a bulbous appearance.

Rosacea is more common in fair-skinned individuals and typically affects middle-aged adults, although it can occur in anyone. Common triggers include sun exposure, stress, hot weather, alcohol, spicy foods, and certain skincare products.

While the exact cause is unknown, factors such as genetics, immune system responses, and environmental influences are believed to contribute. Treatments focus on managing symptoms and may include topical or oral medications, laser therapy, and lifestyle changes to avoid triggers.
